One of my favorite things to play with is new blog widgets and icons. Not too long ago I added an icon to my side bar called “3 Minute Retreat” … which has a prayer for every day of the year. The 3 Minute Retreat was designed by Loyola Press, the nonprofit publishing company where I have the privilege to work.
There are some other cool links that Loyola Press has available. Here’s the link so that you can take a look.
Have you seen any other “holy and cool” links that you’d recommend?”

AmericanCatholic.org has one for the Saint of the Day, but I’ve not been able to get it to work (I think some blogs don’t allow for certain coding … ??)
Another one is CatholicContent.com – “free Catholic content for your website or blog”. They have Daily Mass Readings and Reflections, a search engine for Catholic blogs, and a search engine or Catholic web sites.
Dear Sister Julie
I thank you so much for this post and the link to the 3 minute retreat. I just viewed it and am in awe. I really needed it. I have bookmarked it and will return many times.
I do thank you so much
Bill
Dear Sister Julie,
Here is a website I check daily.
http://www.sacredspace.ie/
It is run by the Irish Jesuits in Ireland. (I know that sounds redundant but I’ve heard of Irish Jesuits here in America.)
They have several newsletters that they send out if you sign up for them. The links at the bottom of the page are useful as well. I hope you find them as inspirational and thought-provoking as I do.

I visit http://friendsofstjohn.podOmatic.com every day along with 3 minute retreat and the daily meditation at
henrinouwen.org All are very good, I especially like friendsofstjohn because I know the author, a wonderful priest whose goal is to bring Christ to all, especially the youth
I’m glad you liked the 3-minute retreat, Bill. It is a treasure.
Thanks MamaB and Anne for the aditional links. I’d not heard of the friendsofsaintjohn one, but I definitely know the Irish Jesuits. SacredSpace is a wonderful site.
