Flu Shot Blues

by Sister Julie on November 1, 2007  J.M.J.A.T.

Last week I got my annual flu shot. Joy and rapture. Whatever they injected into my arm is still at war with the troops of my immune system. So I’m not feeling all that great. I don’t really like to be sick. I’m much better with acute injuries than I am with overall malaise. I can work around a sprained wrist, but being sick just immobilizes me. Yuck. It’s really not that bad, I’m just feeling a little whiney this morning because the immune system troops’ morale is down — even after sleeping for 10 hours. So I thought I’d amuse myself this morning by reading cartoons.
