“Hell Burns” - a nun’s blog

By Sister Julie | November 16, 2007

Hell Burns … This aptly named blog is authored by Paulist Sister Helena Burns! I just discovered this blog and want to be sure that you’ve seen it (I just added it to my “Blogs by Catholic Nuns” page). Personally I love Sister Helena’s “about me” photograph. Let us all pray that Sister Helena does not join the dark side! But, I’m sure Sister uses her powers only for good. :)

The year of the rat, she says. That was a good year. I too was born then!

Bah. I’m a tiger. But I love rats and have had several of the rodent kind as pets. Does that count?

Sure, Jen! :) I think rats and tigers are most compatible.

Nuns are among the coolest persons that I have ever met.

A nun from Venezuela used to give us some catechism when we were in high school.. we asked her if she saw herself as a nun when she was little… she said no. In fact she always frequented the disco houses in her place… then she started singing in Spanish then danced in front of us.. Man, she is so hilarious… we certainly come to loved her. She even sings Happy Birthdays in Spanish for my classmates.
