Ahoy, Matey! It’s Talk Like a Pirate Day!
Aarg, swabbies, mine pirate-ese is a wee rusty but I’ll give it ye ole pirate try. ‘Tis International Talk Like a Pirate Day and I want e’ry one of you land lubbers to give ‘er a whirl.
Mine first meetin’ with the dreaded Talk Like a Pirate Day came some two years ago when me ole bilge nun made mention of it. “Avast!” cried I, unable to believe such grog. But, aye, ’twas true, that of which the wise ole nun spoke.
So lest ye get keel hauled, I reckon ye grab a hornpipe and give it a try, me hearties. You’ll blargh for sure!

A special AARG to me matey, Jen, who is always good for an aarg or two. And to Max who introduced me to the day and my sister-in-law Deborah who corroborated her story when I doubted.
A special Arrr to Sister Julie! Have a great Talk Like a Pirate Day!
And in the age-old debate about pirates versus ninjas…I have to pick ninjas. They have real ultimate power.
Shiver Me Timbers!
I will join thee in the celebration with the rest of the ladies, lads and assorted scalawags.
Aye mi mattie! Happy talk like a pirate day to ye!
(since they don’t specify that means I can break into a rousing chorus of We’re the Pirates who don’t do anything!
