Feast of Saint Teresa of Avila
Good morning and happy feast day! Today we celebrate the feast of Saint Teresa of Avila. This is an especially important day in my IHM Congregation because Saint Teresa is one of our patron saints.
I write regularly about Teresa because she is awesome and has been an important person in my life and in the life of the Church. I wrote about her in the VISION 2009 Vocation Guide which you can read online.

Aw, it’s your favourite saint feast day! Was today her birthday or something?
Happy celebrating!
Thanks, Annie. Teresa died on October 4 but the very next day the Gregorian calendar was changed resulting in her feast day being moved to the 15th.
What a wonderful saint! I’ve always been a big fan of the Teresas (Little Flower, Mother Teresa, and Teresa of Avila) and am so glad to have this saint in my “communion of spiritual mentors”.
Into the Castle we go…
Theresa, I strive to “let nothing disturb me”. God be praised for your presence.
