Here’s the last podcast about my trip with Sister Maxine Kollasch, IHM, to Manhattan. In this podcast we have “on-site” clips from the Statue of Liberty (including an actual conversation with Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, the French sculptor of Lady Liberty who apparently does time travel too), Ellis Island, and the New York Public Library in Manhattan. We also talk about our trip to the World Trade Center site which defies any kind of commentary. Tomorrow we’ll be leaving this great city and heading back to the midwest. Enjoy, and let me know what you think. P.S. Photos will be forthcoming!

Sister Julie and Sister Maxine,
Thank you for another interesting podcast – going to see places that I only hear of in the news and travel shows, made New York come alive for me.
Best wishes
Was the sculptor hired to pretend he was Frederic, or was he just an oddball? That’s hilarous!
Don’t kill me, but…your accent souns a bit like Sarah Palin’s, don’t you think? Your voice is way nicer, though.
I’m glad you guys had a good time!
ChristineH, Thanks so much for the encouragement! Glad you liked it.
Annie, Yes, I believe so … though I suppose he could have just been doing it on his own. It was funny because at first we didn’t notice anything odd about him because in NYC, there is no “normal” look or behavior!
You know, when I listened to the podcast there was a point when I thought that of myself too! Hi-larious (as my friend Kate says)!
