My IHM sister Jill Kress is guest blogging over at IHM Calling blog. Jill describes what it’s like Between the Commas … Becoming an IHM Sister.

Sister Jill is a regular visitor at A Nun’s Life, most recently shedding light on the discernment process in our online discernment discussion last night with Sister Mary McDevitt, IHM, of Visitation Spirituality Center.

You can also see Jill in action in a video she did for A Nun’s Life last fall on discerning a vocation.

Sharon, you are insightful! I wrote that reflection in part as a response to a comment I read about the four stages of religious life are candidate, novice, etc, and I thought to myself, ‘wow, that just makes it sound waaaaay too easy. ‘ To just list the names doesn’t do justice to the process. I wanted to be honest, and point out that its not necessarily a linear path. But not impossible, either. Thanks! Jill
