While in Monroe, Michigan, this past week, I had a chance to take some pictures of the IHM Motherhouse. Sister Jill had also taken some cool photos so I’m including some of hers as well.

Thank you for the great little tour of the Motherhouse, another example of IHM hospitality! The statues to honor Mary are just beautiful to me as I’ve always felt a special devotion to Mary.
Art classes – very cool. Too bad I’m 1,000 miles away or so! dee
I loved seeing the pictures on this site. I graduated from SMA in 1982. I was a resident at SMA. Recently some of our foreign exchange students from SMA have contacted me and would like to arrange a get-together at the academy/Motherhouse. They heard of an event in May. If you have any info on this, please let us know. Thank you.
Hi Heidi, Great to hear from an alum of Saint Mary’s Academy. I checked in with Shirley in our IHM Communications Office. There will in fact be a reunion in May for all who attended Saint Mary Academy. It will be held on May 15, 2010 at the IHM Motherhouse and SMA dining rooms. More details can be found here at our IHM website. Blessings.
I loved seeing the photos. they bring back many wonderful memories of my years at” The Academy”1950-1957. Thank you!
Glad you found the page!
