Farrah seemed to handle cancer better than some people. I'm sure her upbringing in and closeness to a faith based school, church and community helped her during her illness.

Sr. Patrice Floyd is one of our sisters (I live with her.) We prayed for Farraw very often and sent her cards. The Sisters have fond memories of her visits.

<i>"and even survived catholic school!"</i>

I thrived in Catholic School (1-12 and Graduate School), and I believe my students did as well. Don't believe all the hype.

I think its wonderful to see that even celebrities like Farrah, can manage to find time to visit their hometown schools and teachers, and remain faithful to the church while living such outlandish lifestyles. I had no idea Farrah attended Catholic School, that was very interesting to hear about. I'm sure having that kind of education made an impact on her life in some way (I know it did on mine!).

Thanks,
Thomas

i noticed farrah making the sign of the cross in her documentary about her cancer and wondered if she was a lifelong catholic or if she converted later. looks like maybe she was a cradle catholic after all and even survived catholic school!

hey nice story, but i had just a random comment....i have quotes of the day on my homepage, and this one today just struck me so I thought I'd share:
"Seek freedom and become captive of your desires, seek discipline and find your liberty."
It just seems like it applies to religious life or being religious in general. I would love to think about it, but alas job duties call...maybe I can figure it out on the bus ride home. Hope your other readers enjoy it too.
