Some updates

in blog post, news on the nunfront

Greetings! I’ve been away from the blog and email for a few days. We had two IHM sisters — Marie and Rita — die in the last few days, one expected and one not — both heart-breaking. The two sisters who died also had blood sisters in our IHM community so please keep them especially in your prayers — Margaret and Marge.

Sister Maxine has been nunning the mics while I’ve been gone. She’s been leading our Praying with the Sisters podcast at noon Central Time. I’ll be back on the air with her today. Please join us for a pause for prayer. This week and last we’ve been praying the Angelus and taking prayer requests via our chat room. Beginning next week, we are going to shift the format a bit and use the scripture readings of the day as the basis of our prayer. We’ll continue to pray for your intentions. Praying with the Sisters is live weekly, Monday through Thursday.

And don’t forget about Nun News Roundup on Fridays at noon Central Time. Sister Maxine and I bring you the latest news on the nunfront plus our stunning commentary! We won’t have one this week due to unforeseen events but we will be back next week with our full lineup.

For information on our podcasts and how to listen in and join us, click on LIVE SHOW here or at the top of the screen.

My deepest condolences and all my thoughts and prayers to all of you on your great loss.

Sister Julie – I love the new lay-out of the site. At first, I was sorry to lose the longer list of “latest talk” (it made it easy to keep track of ongoing discussions) but then I find the new set-up you created with your recent posts on a quadrant below your most recent post. That makes it easier to ckeck out other topics. Snazzy. Jean

Hi Jean, You know, I miss that too. Things feel very wordy right now on the blog so I’m trying to find ways to reduce clutter. Am researching new code that will create a “fat footer” where widgets not used regularly can be kept. Appreciate the feedback and i think I’ll increase the # of recent comments.

Lord Jesus, I come before Thee, just as I am, I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me. In Thy Name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me. I renounce Satan, the evil spirits and all their works. I give Thee my entire self, Lord Jesus, I accept Thee as my Lord God and Savior. Heal me, change me, strengthen me in body, soul, and spirit.

Come Lord Jesus, cover me with Thy Precious Blood, and fill me with Thy Holy Spirit, I love Thee Lord Jesus, I praise Thee Lord Jesus, I thank Thee Jesus, I shall follow Thee every day of my life.

Lord, have mercy on me and my kids. Dismiss the case filed against Mickey. Heal my diabetes and Niccolo’s arthritis so he can walk again. I pray for my partner that he realize and repent for the pains he had caused us. Fill our family with love, peace and happiness. Thank you for all the blessings You had given us. Amen.

Mary, My Mother, Queen of Peace, all the Angels and Saints, please help me. Amen.
