New Look, Same Website and Nuns

by Sister Julie on March 16, 2010  J.M.J.A.T.

in a nun's life ministry, blog post

In the spirit of Lenten anticipation, we welcome you to the “almost but not yet” new website at aNunsLife.org!

It’s “almost” because the new structure and design are up and running. It’s “not yet” because, well, the it’s not finished yet. We’ve got links and articles to add, a couple of new gizmos to find, and lots of stuff to test–you get the idea. We hope you’ll be part of the process. Let us know what you think about the look, the content, and the navigation of the site. Got suggestions or ideas? We’d love to hear them! Send us an email.

Peace,
Sister Julie and Sister Maxine

I LOVE the new look SJ. Is that Sr. Chloe in the tree graphic? Very chic!

Sr. Marcia March 16, 2010 at 9:37 am

Thanks to all!

Yes that is Sister Chloe! I gave a photo of her to our awesome illustrator Anni Betts and she incorporated it into the illustration! I love it.

We’d love to hear more and have you be part of the process as we build A Nun’s Life website and community! :)

I love the new look too…a question: If we’re already subscribed to the previous blog, do we need to subscribe anew to this? just wondering.

Hi Joanne, Good question! I don’t think so. I checked the feed and it picked up my two blog posts today. Let me know if you find out otherwise.

Love it. Clean and neat. Eye-pleasing colors. Happy St. Patrick’s Day – a solemnity here in the Archdiocese of New York,

Eye-catching and up-lifting colours and layout. Well done!
One thing to consider …. the print in places is small and difficult for some of us older folks to see.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments on the new site design! We worked hard on it with Sister Julie and Sister Maxine.

We did try to keep type size in mind for ALL ages, but for those like Miss Barbara who may be having a bit of trouble, if you are using the latest version of either Internet Explorer or Firefox, you can hold down the Control key and hit the + key as many times as you would like, and each time the type will get larger. To make it smaller, do the reverse – hold down the Control key and hit the – key.

This works on most websites – not just this one.

Happy surfing!
