How will you live the Gospel today?

That’s right, I’m talking to you. No, not the person behind you. You.

Will you live the Gospel in the way you hold  your child or attend class or shake hands on a business deal? Will you speak a word of compassion or console a broken heart? Will you reflect the love of Christ to others, even those who annoy or anger you? Will you celebrate the dew glistening in the morning sun? Will you take a moment to breath a prayer of gratitude?

In what way you are living the Gospel today?

i am living the gospel today by speaking only words of love. i committed to this last night. i post comments on facebook and on political sites all the time, and the tenor of threads is often angry and hurtful. i’ve decided to do my part to defuse without confronting, to just point out the positive and express love whenever possible.

Love this Sr. Julie. One of my favorite sisters told me that we’re all called to live a page of the Gospels each day.

Hopefully by by showing patience and love to even the most demented patient under my care .. small acts of kindness and compassion for those distressed… most importantly of all, in seeing and acknowledging the dignity of everyone, especially those nearing the end of their lives, showing them that in a small way they are loved. :)
