Ask Sister podcast is a live podcast where you have the opportunity to engage with us and ask questions about nuns, prayer, religious life, or pretty much anything in between!
Here are some of the questions we address in this Ask Sister podcast:
- Does one have to be a virgin to become a nun?
- Stories of joy, fear, and wonderment — what it’s like to tell nuns that you’re interested in religious life
- Do you have to take written tests before you can be a nun?
- Fasting – historical perspectives and its place in faith and church life today
- Are Catholics allowed to practice yoga?
- What happens when you’re married and have children but feel called to religious life?
Do you have a question for us? Visit our new portress Sister Mary Evoca http://anunslife.org/contact/ and leave a message for us. WHOO-HOO! We invested 4–Count ‘em!– novices this week for the North American province of the Felician Franciscan Sisters. God is good all the time! All the time, God is good! God bless you SM Rita, SM Angelise, S Bridget Mary, and S Desire’ Ann Marie. Whoo- HOO!
And it doesn’t stop there. Next our second year novice profess first vows, a bunch of annually professed sisters renewed vows and one sister made her final profession this year. Whoo-HOO again!
awesome news, ster.
Yes, this is awesome news, Ster Julie. I didn’t realize there is a fourth new novice. I am connected with the others via Facebook. God bless, S. M. Rita, as well!
This is a beautiful time of year with so many communities celebrating investings, renewals, professions, and jubilees. Maybe in the Fall, once a NL’s Ministry, has settled after WYD, we can ask the Sisters about creating a section on the web, kind of like Nun Mondays, where communities can post photos (or other items) about their vocational celebrations this year.
