The A Nun’s Life sweepstakes starts at 12:01 a.m. Central Daylight Time on October 15, 2011 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Central Daylight Time on November 9, 2011 (“Promotion Period”). Grand Prize Winner will be selected on or about November 20, 2011.

ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the (50) United States (excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. territories and possessions) and District of Columbia. You must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico, U.S. territories and possessions, outside of the United States and where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees and agents of the Sisters, Servants, of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Monroe, Michigan, and A Nun’s Life Ministry employees and their relatives (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”) are ineligible to participate. There is a limit of one (1) Sweepstakes entry per household.

HOW TO ENTER: There are two ways to enter.

1. Contribution Entry Method: To enter by making a contribution, click here and follow the directions on the contribution page. By making a donation pursuant to the limitations and prohibitions of federal law, an individual is automatically entered to win the Promotion, provided he or she submits an entry in accordance with these Official Rules and the form instructions provided on the contribution page. No minimum contribution is required, and making one or multiple contributions will not increase your chances of winning. There is a limit of one (1) Sweepstakes entry per household.
2. Free Mail-in Entry Method: Eligible persons may also enter the sweepstakes by printing their name, address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, e-mail address, and the words “A Nun’s Life Sweepstakes” on a 3.5×5” index card or piece of paper and mailing it to: A Nun’s Life Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 44, Steger, IL 60475. Mail-in entries must be received by November 15, 2011. There is a limit of one (1) Sweepstakes entry per household. Multiple entries will disqualify all entries from the same person. All entries become the property of A Nun’s Life Ministry and will not be acknowledged or returned. Illegible, photocopied, or other mechanically reproduced entries are void.

IN THE EVENT OF A DISPUTE: In the event of a dispute regarding entries, any online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry, provided that person meets all eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules. “Authorized Account Holder” means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Entrants may not participate with multiple email addresses or under multiple identities, nor may entrants use any device or artifice to enter or to enter more than once per day during the Sweepstakes or as multiple entrants. Any entrant who attempts to enter with multiple email addresses, under multiple identities or uses any other device or artifice to enter multiple times will be disqualified from participation in the Sweepstakes and all entries submitted by that entrant will be void. Only fully completed entries are eligible. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for any change of mailing address, email address, and/or telephone number of entrants. By entering, entrant agrees to the receipt of emails pertinent to this Sweepstakes.

PRIZES/ODDS: One (1) Grand Prize — an Apple iPad 2 (16 GB) and a $50 iTunes Gift Card.
Any difference between stated approximate retail value and actual value of Prize will not be awarded. All prize details not specified in the Official Rules will be determined in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. All incidental charges and any other expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of winner. Prize must be claimed by December 1, 2011, and may be subject to certain other restrictions. Winner must have all necessary identification. Additional prize award details and information to be provided to the Grand Prize winner at the time of notification. Lost, stolen or damaged prizes will not be replaced or exchanged. Odds of winning depend upon number of entries received

The winner of the Grand Prize will be chosen at random and  will be contacted by phone or email using the contact information provided during entry. If unable to contact a Grand Prize winner within three (3) days from first attempt, an alternate winner will be randomly selected. Total ARV of all prizes: $550.00

NOTICE REGARDING TRADEMARKS: Apple, iPad and iTunes are registered trademarks of Apple Inc. Other trademarks used in describing prizes belong to their respective owners. Neither Apple Inc. nor the owners of such other marks, other than Sponsor and its wholly-owned subsidiaries, is a sponsor of, or involved in any way in the creation or conduct of, this sweepstakes.

PRIZE CONDITIONS: One Grand Prize winner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity (“Affidavit/Release”), except where prohibited. All Affidavit/Releases must be returned within fourteen (14) days from the date on the notification paperwork. If such documents are not returned within that time, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or if he/she does not comply with the Official Rules or if prizes or prize notifications are returned as undeliverable, then such potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Noncompliance with this condition will result in forfeiture of prize and an alternate winner being selected. Allow 4-6 weeks for shipment of prize after returning all required documents. No cash substitutions or transfer of prizes except by Sponsor due to unavailability of any Prize, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Taxes, if any, on prizes are the sole responsibility of winners.

INTERNET: Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated or illegible entries nor for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor or presenter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Internet portion of the Sweepstakes and select the winners by random drawing from among all eligible entries received from all methods combined up to the point of the action taken by the Sponsor. Caution: Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law.

GENERAL: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these rules, or the rights and obligations of you, A Nun’s Life Ministry and the Released Parties, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Illinois without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Illinois. By entering this Promotion, participants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Sweepstakes Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final in all matters related to the Promotion. By accepting the prize, winner consents to the use of his or her name, photo and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, or suspend this Promotion and randomly award the prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to action taken by Promotion Entities should any technical difficulty beyond the control of the Promotion Entities corrupt the administration, security, or properly play of the Promotion, or if, in the judges’ opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of tampering with any portion of the Promotion. Promotion Entities also reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. Winners and participants also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Promotion Entities, and their affiliates and subsidiaries, and the officers, employees and agents of each, from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse, use, loss or misdirection of any prize, or participation in any Promotion-related activity or participation in this Promotion, or any other error in the offering or announcement of any prize.
