Catholic sisters and nuns have played an important role not only in Catholic history but also in U.S. history as well as in other countries. As we continue our celebration of National Catholic Sisters Week, we invite you to be part of our History Nun project on Pinterest. We've got some great photos pulled from convent archives from across the country featuring Catholic sisters and nuns. We'll be adding and re-pinning photos daily throughout the week.

Head on over to History Nun on Pinterest and get to know some of these fabulous women from our history. If you've got photos to add (complete with permission and names of sisters), please let us know!

Humility of Mary Sisters (1960s)

This Humility of Mary Sister in the early 1960's represents the health care ministry of the HM Community which goes back to the 1860s and the smallpox epidemics in Pennsylvania and nearby Ohio where they nursed the sick in their homes.
