Ask Sister podcast is a live podcast where you have the opportunity to engage with us and ask questions about nuns, prayer, religious life, or pretty much anything in between!
Here are some of the questions we addressed in this Ask Sister podcast:
- What is temporal punishment and does it mean I’ll still be punished even though I’ve gone to confession and been forgiven?
- What is the best way for a Christian to address the controversial issue of plans for building a mosque near the World Trade Center memorial in New York City?
- What are some ways or images that you use to view your vocation? (e.g., marriage with Jesus, covenant relationship with God, etc.)
- Can God be imaged in different ways? What does this mean in terms of our own relationship with God and spiritual growth?
- Why are bunnies pink? (a deeply philosophical issue!)
We welcome your insights and conversation on these topics and more by interacting with us via the chat room during the live broadcast.

An article I found today on CNN…. a little bit related, I guess. lol
ps…. just one more thing there is no regulation for in China. Let’s hope the Dye doesn’t have lead in it.
I wanted to comment about the pink bunny question. You mentioned the Easter bunny and I would like to put forth some thoughts about that. Before Easter was a Christian celebration/feast, it was a pagan celebration that celebrated the beginning of spring and most importantly fertility. Hence the eggs as well as the baby rabbits/bunnies and I think that the pastel colors of Easter were a more recent add on because they are associated with babies in our culture and that may be why you see pastel pink bunnies especially around Easter. (I am definitely not the final authority on any of this though).
