Is that a half-carat diamond (60 years) or a full carat diamond (75 years)? That sister could be anywhere from 78 to 93 years old. I would suggest that she might prefer a Mass enrollment and/or a donation to her order’s retirement fund or her favorite charity. Our new provincial administration asked that instead of purchasing something to dust that we give to our congregations’ ministries with the poor. I think that’s a wonderful practice, kind of like Alternative Christmas all year long.
Either that or a box of chocolate! (=^D
