Santa visits the Baby Jesus—stories of Children’s Christmas masses

On Christmas Eve, I went to mass with my family in the small town where my mom lives. There was only one mass, at 4:00 p.m.—the children’s mass. It was action-packed, and I had a great time! Throughout mass, children were singing at random, laughing, crying, shouting, and springing up and down. Miraculously, the baby in the pew in front of me slept the entire time.

Here at the convent, we love the energy of the holiday season – Christmas lights, gatherings with friends and co-workers, Christmas carols, lending a hand to others, and lots of other things that make the season festive. But even good things can be stressful sometimes. So today, we’re collecting ideas for how to keep stress in check and have a holy, wholesome, wholistic Christmas season.

Blessings to you in this season of Christmas! I’m having a wonderful time with my family and my nuns. It has snowed and snowed and snowed here, and Christmas morning you could even see the tracks in the snow left by reindeer!
