At a point along my discernment journey, I was given the advice, “It’s not a career question, Maria, it’s a vocation question.”

Gaudete et Exsultate is about a call to personal holiness, about finding God in practical ways in everyday life, by doing ordinary things. The entirety of life is mission--how do you see your life as a mission from God?

It's difficult to put into words fully what the experience was like personally. For me, it was both an experience of intense sisterhood and also an encounter with God. It was at once deeply communal and deeply personal.

The IHM Community has been meeting since yesterday and we’ve been privileged to have with us Father Anthony Gittins, CSSp, a member of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (Spiritans).
