I began volunteering at a local organization that provided shelter and services to victims. One member of the staff, herself a human trafficking survivor, and I connected. She taught me that a child who is consistently sold to others has no other definition of self.

Embracing our humanity, how can we start honest conversations and stop senseless hate? Love is stronger than hate! The choice is ours; we must choose love.
