I finally feel like Spring is here! It's been warm enough for flip-flops -- well almost warm enough! I've got to take the commuter bike into the shop to get a new wheel (current one nearly flew off on my last ride -- no nuns were injured, just a bit surprised).
Advent is one of my most favorite liturgical seasons. There is such hope, anticipation, pregnancy, and delight! I am especially keyed into the new life aspect as my family just celebrated the arrival of my beautiful niece, Scarlett.
I've got 3 empty pots and one with Genovese basil seeds marinating in the soil. The lilac twig I planted last summer has leaves this summer, and the two bushes have doubled in size! There are a few unknown plants that have been welcome volunteers!
In the midst of the sermon, Simon my two-year-old nephew, who had been playing intensely with his new John Deere truck and must have heard the word “broken” a dozen times. What he said next, blew me away!
