Dreams have been one of God’s ways of speaking to us from our earliest history! So I take dreams as important messengers, always with something to tell us.

One day in my late twenties, as I was watching Mamma Mia, I heard the song, “Take a Chance on Me” by ABBA. I felt my attention wandering away from the movie, and sensed being tapped on the heart by God. Thus, I chose to take a risk and see where God would take me.

As long as I can remember, I wanted to be a Sister. But as an Afro-American child in Mississippi I only saw white Irish nuns. So it seemed like an impossible dream.
