discernment

In that moment I experienced God’s love so clearly that it left no room for doubt either about His existence or about His love for every person.

At a point along my discernment journey, I was given the advice, “It’s not a career question, Maria, it’s a vocation question.”

It was through my experiences with the monastic community that I began thinking about religious life as a possibility for me. After a couple of years of discernment, I formally joined the community as a postulant.

Ever have the experience of looking for something, like car keys or a cell phone, just to find that it’s right before your eyes? Sometimes vocations are like that.

Experiencing contemplative prayer in community awakened in me the call to religious life.
