How to Become a Nun

There needs to be a balance in navigating the roles of daughter and Catholic sister. Community supports that balance and encourages me to take time for myself yet pushes me when I need it. Parents can be at ease knowing their children can still be their children and be sisters.

“I didn’t want to just do this for one year or two years, I wanted it to be my life.”

“God gets you where God wants you to be.” I have made that statement many times in my life. I say it partially to convince myself because where God wants me is not always where I want to be.

In sharing my story, I call out to other young women who might be feeling an emptiness in their lives, or a whisper that there is something bigger.

To be honest I did not consider being a sister until I fell in love with one of the greatest guys God ever created and we began making plans for a life together.
